Deer Leap Farm

Gorgeous old thatched cottage with a big log fire and thoughtful renovations in a lovely part of Devon with woodlands, good pubs and the moors on your doorstep. Extremely helpful owners and a very friendly dog (Jimmy) who accompanied us on several local rambles. Hosted a big family party here and the space worked very well for catering and mingling. The tall people in our family had to walk around bent over due to low beams, but of course that is part of the charm. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic location and property to stay in. We visited the area to attend a wedding in the near by barn and had a fantastic time. Ed and his dog Jimi welcomed us with happy faces and the place was brilliant. extremely clean, equipped and if you fancy a stay with family or friends we'd highly recommend it. slept 4 couples extremely comfortably. thank you

Stayed here for 2 weeks, 6 of us and 3 dogs. Ted, Cam and Jimmy(dog) are wonderful hosts. Very helpful and informative of the area. Beautiful cottage in a peaceful area, lovely garden, walking up to the orchard with the dogs every morning with a coffee was a personal highlight. Couldnt ask for a better experience of Devon! Thank you again.

I don't know were to start , either the most welcoming helpful hosts we've ever experienced , the absolutely amazing accommodation, the idilic setting (teaming with wildlife) the lovable dog "Jim" or the excellent situation for a base that's within half hour drive of anywhere . The only downside is that our holiday is over grrr . Thanks so much for an amazing stay Ed and Cami . We will be back . From Steve and Sammie .

Our family of 5 plus our dog stayed for a week in late Aug '22. We loved Deer Leap Farm - what a beautiful cottage, very clean, perfectly equipped. There's so much space inside and out and it's in a fantastic location. Walk out of the back of the farm and into the fields and orchards with wonderful views. A bit further is the extensive Forest where the dog was in his element. We saw or glimpsed a herd of deer every time we went and we only saw one other person, so it was lovely and peaceful. Lots to see and do within easy reach - we went to the country show at Christow the day after we arrived which was good fun too - welcoming locals. Ted and Cami were really friendly and super helpful and their collie Jim had a lovely nature, playing nicely with our dog when he visited the (dog secure) yard occasionally. Wifi was fantastic throughout the house. A good range of games and entertainment. We can't fault it and would definitely stay again.
