Wow. I cannot recommend this place enough. I was thinking about Willow Wood today and figured the least I could do after all these years is write a glowing review after how much they did for my family. My stepfather Ian passed away here on the 25th August 2016 and was given the most amazing care. He had pleural mesothelioma, a rare terminal lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. He was in a lot of pain a lot of the time but Willow wood really helped ease it to the max, mentally and physically. The nurses and doctors were so absolutely lovely, they allowed my stepdads two little pooches to come to see him on his deathbed, and they gave him the best physiotherapy and support we couldve ever asked for in the 2 years leading up to his death. The facilities are amazing. There are different classes, lounges, art rooms, physiotherapy pools, etc etc- and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. The doors on the rooms leading out to the garden are an amazing touch, it meant even when my stepdad was bedbound he could be wheeled out to enjoy the beautiful ponds and sunshine. There are also regularly held flower shows and tombolas which is absolutely lovely . I was only about 12/13 when he passed, but I was in and out of here many times in the years up until his death. Drawing and coloring and occupying myself within the facilities. I was even given some grief support before he even died. all the staff knew us on a first name basis, some even keeping in touch after his death and coming to the funeral. THANKYOU WILLOW WOOD, for lifting the burden of my stepfathers death as much as possible and for providing an amazing place full of love and care for him to pass away

Beautiful place they gave the very best end of life care to my husband. The staff went above and beyond whilst making sure his last days were as comfortable and pain free as possible. Their care extended to helping our family cope at a very difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble.
