I rarely leave reviews but I'm so genuinely gobsmacked by the level of care Mr Sharif has shown towards me today I feel compelled to. A week of sudden - and bloody brutal - back pain had me searching for a specialist and I called Mr Sharif's listed number this morning and left a message presuming it to be his PA's phone. Within less than an hour Mr Sharif called me, it was HIS phone and he replied more swiftly than I could have hoped for. He spent time - unpaid time - on the phone explaining how to best rest/treat my back. Genuinely caring Doctors, caring for patients above money, are rare IME but that is precisely what Mr Sharif is. I cannot speak highly enough of him and - should you find yourself in the unfortunate postion of back agony(!!) - he's your man. What a total gent to boot. 11/10.

Firstly I owe my life to Khalid who meticulously operated on my left shoulder. The reason for that because I am deaf and communicate in British Sign Language (BSL) which is my first language and also taught BSL for about 20 years. Since the injury on my left shoulder before the arrival of Covid_19 caused me to restrict the ability to move my left arm freely, unable to communicate fluently. Since the operation it has brought my life back to normal, boosted my confident to communicate at ease with my wife (also deaf), deaf friends and BSL interpreters. Apart from that Khalid has a great sense of humour which I was able to feel relax thoroughly. So now I am being consulted by Khalid - this time on my right shoulder! I have full confidence in Khalid.

In May 2019, I suffered multiple, severe fractures in my left wrist/hand - the result of a mountain bike crash. I had the very good fortune 2 days later to be sat in the consulting room of Mr Sharif. From the outset, he recognised the seriousness of the injury and went above and beyond to ensure that plans were quickly put into place to fix my wrist and maximise chance of full recovery. He took a caring, empathetic approach throughout treatment. He arranged an extra surgery on a weekend so that I could be operated on as soon as possible. I was kept informed of the procedure with clear explanations. The operation itself was carried out with upmost professionalism at Ashtead hospital. My distal radius is plated and scaphoid screwed together. Follow ups were dealt with in the same caring manner. 11 weeks post surgery and my bones have healed perfectly - Mr Sharif took time to go through the xrays and explain what I was looking at. The scar is incredibly neat and my movement and strength are recovering rapidly. I highly recommend Mr Sharif. His obvious surgical skills are borne out in the results, but more than that it is his thoughtful, empathetic approach that makes all the difference as a patient. I thank him for fixing me and putting me well on the road towards full recovery.

Extremely happy with the results of my operation on my shoulder to have bone removed and torn muscle sewn up all done by keyhole. Have recovered quickly and able to go back to work within a month

On Thursday 22nd August 2019, I was hit by a car whilst riding my motorcycle through South London. An ambulance was called and I was rushed off to Mayday Hospital in Croydon. Unfortunately, the car had crushed my left leg between them and my bike, which in turn knocked me to the ground. At the hospital, I had to wait about 7 hours for an x-ray, which showed absolutely nothing even though, I was in excruciating pain. On the Friday, I used my private healthcare and got put in contact with Spire St.Anthony's Hospital. On Tuesday I met Mr Sharif. If I could sum up Mr Sharif in 3 words - Professional, Friendly and an absolute Gentleman. I explained what had happened and within minutes, I was sent for several MRI scans of my leg. On Wednesday, I met with Mr Sharif again, who explained my prognosis. I had a fracture in my foot, my knee and a torn cartilage, which required surgery. Due to the aggressive nature of the injuries, Mr Shatif explained that it would not be beneficial to operate until the swelling and bruising had calmed down. Mr Sharif took me down to the physio department and requested I be given an 'Air Boot' to make my recovery as comfortable as possible. This boot was 100% better than the boot that A&E had originally given me. I was also prescribed pain killer medication and told to relax with my leg up. I was signed off work for several months to aid my recovery. A couple of weeks pass and my leg becomes even more painful day by day. I start panicking and make another appointment with Mr Sharif and he again immediately sends me for another MRI to find out what's happening. It's quite late in the day and the radiologist had to leave, but I had another appointment with Mr Sharif the next day to review the results. However, within a couple of hours I recieve a phone call from Mr Sharif, who explained that I needed to get to A&E immediately as the scan showed that I had a blood clot in my leg. If it wasn't for Mr Sharif, I would have been none the wiser and I dread to think what would have happened if these weren't found and dealt with quickly. Fast forward to December, I am off the anticoagulants and my knee and foot have healed nicely. I have full movement and seeing the physio weekly to rebuild my strength. I am ready for my operation, a knee arthroscopy and in time to return to work in January. Mr Sharif treated me as if I was the only patient he was seeing and that I was all that mattered, but it was the week before Christmas and all the surgery rooms were fully booked. Mr Sharif did not stop until I had the surgery booked in and a whole team to look after me. On 23rd December 2019, I had my surgery and it was handled so well. I was awake for the whole thing and chatting away to Mr Sharif and his colleagues and watched the whole thing on a screen, the only thing missing was the popcorn. I felt so comfortable on the operating table (maybe because of the drugs) but it was a good experience for what it was. Mr Sharif absolutely went above and beyond for me and showed the upmost professionalism along with a superb amount of knowledge which kept me calm throughout the whole ordeal. He stayed in touch with me the whole time and made sure that I knew I could contact him on his mobile at any time day and night. I cannot express enough how highly I recommend Mr Sharif. I first came to Mr Sharif angry, stressed and in shock and the moment I met him, I calmed down and realised I was in good hands. Following the operation, the aftercare was brilliant and 6 weeks later, I have been fully discharged and you'd never even notice the two small surgery scars I have on my knee. Mr Sharif is a fantastic orthopaedic Surgeon who is very patient and thorough and is clearly one of the top specialists in the country.
