Pondtech - Pond clean and pond maintenance

We moved into a lovely home with what we thought was a water feature, in January 2023. We soon discovered that the water feature had a waterfall and pond with live fish! Being exceptionally ignorant of fish and their care, I sought a pond expert and was referred by a friend to Jack and his company Pond Tech. Jack provided an initial consultation where he was very generous with his knowledge and advice. We then asked him to service and clean the pond in order that we could begin anew. Jack and Lee came round one cold Monday morning and were very diligent in carefully migrating the existing fish, the frogs, the toads and one lonely newt into temporary tanks. They then drained the pond, checked the liner for leaks, supplied and planted up lovely new canna lilies, water lilies, marsh marigolds and a horse tail. The entire day was a massive pond educational learning curve with them and they were ever so patient with my naive questions. They refilled the pond, treated the water and then returned to the pond what I now know are 2 koi, 3 goldfish and 2 shubunkin fish, as well as the other wildlife. The water is clear, the plants are looking good now that spring is finally on the way, and the fish are slowly getting used to me. They also showed me how the pump worked as well as how to clean the filter. Being a fish owner is brand new world! I would recommend Jack and Lee of Pond Tech to anyone with a pond, who is keen to have invaluable experienced professionals guide them in expert pond care.
