J H G Jigsaws

Having spent some several hours on one of your 'Houses of Shakespeare' puzzles, I was disappointed and annoyed to find it was incomplete, with two of the pieces missing and a third damaged. I bought the puzzle several months' ago from a local retailer. It was brand new with the outer shrink wrap packaging intact but I was surprised to find the bag containing the pieces was not sealed, but hand knotted at the neck. There was also a lot of blue cardboard dust both in the box and the bag. As the outer packaging was undamaged, I can only conclude that the faults occurred in your factory. Could it be that the pieces had been dropped and swept up off the floor? I welcome your comments.

Unfortunately poor cuts and multiple false fits made doing my puzzle impossible. I was almost finished and simply couldn't go any further. There were many pieces still joined together and some pieces have frayed edges and the image is damaged. Edited to add:- Thank you to the owner who responded to my review. While it's possible to accept that a puzzle slipped through quality control, the problem is also the cut. The puzzle that I was doing contained a large area of dark background, due to the nature of the cut, there are multiple false fits. Most would be apparent at some point, however some were not, which left me with a puzzle that was impossible to complete.

Since I retired 8 years ago I have purchased and completed well over two hundred jigsaws. I recently purchased a jigsaw, manufactured byJHG Jigsaws Ltd, "British Steel in Redcar" for the first time. It has to be the most poorly manufactured jigsaw I have ever had. Over 20 of the pieces were not separated, the individual parts themselves were poorly cut, each piece would fit into almost every other piece making the jigsaw impossible to assemble correctly even allowing for the patterning. I would never recommend buying one of these jigsaws to anyone.
