This is the only negative review I have ever left on Google as I am so disgusted by our treatment. We booked a three night stay but unfortunately my wife tested positive for Covid on the day of departure. As Government advice is still to isolate where possible we did the responsible thing and immediately informed the establishment that we wouldn't be able to fulfil the booking. I enquired about a refund only to be told no refunds would be made if the booking was cancelled in the 14 days prior. Given we are still living with a pandemic this seemed rather unreasonable to say the least. I asked what would happen if they rebooted the room. I was told if that occurred we would be refunded. I subsequently checked the Internet which showed the hotel fully booked on all three nights and obtained screenshot to that effect. I then contacted the hotel to request the promised refund only for them to say that hadn't had alternative bookings and the Internet was wrong!! They refused to make any reparation whatsoever. If this is indicative of their attitude during a pandemic I dread to think what their normal customer service is like. My firm advice is to avoid this establishment like the plague. We feel completely ripped off when we were simply trying to do the right thing in circumstances which have been so testing for everyone.

Stayed here for a wedding in April and we were really looked after. The room was ready for us to get changed into ahead of the wedding which was so helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated and comfortable- fresh milk was a lovely added bonus. Breakfast was top notch the next morning too! National Stud Farm well worth a visit if you are visiting.
