Ashley Barn reminds us very much so of the Cascinas found in the Pianura Padana in Lombardy, Italy.
All we can say is that Laurie Lee (famous poet from the Cotswolds) was not far from the mark when he said Rounded little hills patch-worked with buttercups and intensely green grass. I felt I'd reached a place of secret delights.
