Just 10 sessions with Mel and what a game-changer they have been! I took my dog, Lester a Cavapoo for general training as he pulled at the lead, wouldnt come when called, and generally took great pleasure in ignoring me! In a very short time, it became very clear that the problem was me and I was amazed at how he was an absolute little saint whenever he was near Mel! It has completely changed my relationship with him now Mel has taught me how the dog/human relationship should be, with the confidence she has given me I have been able to train him to do pretty much what I want him to do, and he is not only much happier for it, but also our bond is even stronger, all done in a kind, fun way, without a treat in site! I couldnt recommend Mel any more, and will miss our weekly sessions.

Would highly recommend Breckland Dog Training School. I have a miniature Schnauzer, and the Puppy classes exceeded my expectations and its given me the confidence to be consistent with the on going training methods. Also great its outside so in a more natural environment for the dogs. Mel & Steve are highly experienced and made the classes good fun all round.

I'm sure Steve's training methods are effective, but given the 5 stars reviews unfortunately my first experience when enquiring for help with my dog was not a positive one. Appreciate that my dogs' squirrel chasing/recall issues might need more specialised training but to be told he couldn't help, that my dog might get shot by a farmer (I don't walk him off lead around livestock) and told to try a shock collar was not what i was expecting! When I challenged this approach, the backtrack was that they could help but I hadn't left my number for a call back and I would be better off finding another trainer. Disheartened to say the least. I don't say this to belittle Steve's abilities as I'm sure he is good at what he does, but given most dog owners have lost confidence and tried lots of different methods already to help their dog, I can't help feeling there could of been a bit more empathy and support offered at the beginning stage of the process
