Facilities: We stayed in two lodges and both were extremely tired with patches of mould in bathrooms, mismatching cutlery and crockery and peeling walls. In the first lodge, the clock was not working and the kitchen bin had no lid, although minor details, for the price you pay these should have been easily resolved and picked up prior to guests staying. Considering it considers itself as luxury lodges, it lacks luxury. However, the slippers and dressing gowns made a nice touch. Staff: This is where the company lets itself down most! We wanted to address some of our concerns with the owner to which she simply dismissed us and made us feel very unwelcome. She didnt want to hear what we had to say and moved our accommodation. When the hot tub broke due to a surge in electric, they did not communicate with us that it wasnt fixable, so we had to chase them for this. And after a wasted day without a hot tub, they then moved us to another lodge where the hot tub needed to be filled and took over 12 hours to heat up. This was a shame as they did not offer us any deduction because of the lack of facility we paid extra for. The very first impression of the place was a rude receptionist not offering any support when we arrived at the wrong time in error. Another time we went to the reception, she was there having her nails done. Extremely unprofessional for a business. All these things would have been made a lot different if we felt the staff were able to communicate better and take pride in their accommodation.

We stayed in Lodge 1 which is Cedar Lodge for 6 people, Good sized lodge with Hot tub for the price...quite dated and in need of some TLC, wallpaper peeling off in places around the place and vinyl flooring has ripples in it and a ripped sofa, Also the master bedroom Mattress was flat and felt the divan under it , but We had a great weekend regardless though as the lodge was well stocked with everything you need its a shame about the things mentioned as not cost much to fix I would have given 5 if these had been sorted prior to arrival as been like that for a while by looks of it , Hot tub was fab though. We came for a relaxing weekend and that's what we got. Had the bonus of Sky TV which is a 1st for us in a lodge.
