Tonic Surgery

Contacted Tonic end of October 2022 and spoke with Cat. She was so helpful and lovely to talk with. She was really knowledgeable and answered all my questions. After much research I chose Mr Awad to do my gastric sleeve, which he carried out in November 2022. Him and his team were fantastic. He answered all my questions open and honestly. I found him to be very professional and very approachable. He was very thorough pre and post surgery. He's an amazing surgeon who i cannot praise highly enough. Mr Awad, his team and Tonic have all been fantastic and I would very highly recommend them. I know this has been one if the best decisions I have made and feel I've got my life back. A massive thankyou to Mr Awad and all at Tonic.

I got through to tonic a while ago about seeking surgery. Every member of staff I have spoken to have been professional and lovely. Every question I had was answered immediately. I finally had my surgery on 8/10/22 and so far Ive had calls from the nurse checking up on me, the dietician making sure Im okay and helping me with anything I need help with. I had surgery with Waleed Al Khyatt, and I couldnt of asked for a better surgeon to help me, hes a truly amazing man, so caring and professional. What a great team. Im looking forward to my life changing with the on going help from the tonic team. Thank you all xx

Found the consultation with Mr Awad to be quite patronising and it became clear he simply wanted to end the call early. I went in enquiring about a gastric band and explaining what appealed to me and Mr Awad took my meaning the complete wrong way. Have since been enquiring elsewhere with other companies and have found them all to treat me like a human being. I don't care how long you have trained for (I am sure you are very good at what you do) you don't get to assume the intelligence of others and treat them as lesser beings. The follow up was poor from Tonic, its clear the notes made on my consultation were "wanted a band, said no and why. Decided she is not willing to blindly give us 10,250 straight away so waste of time"

i approached tonic about a year ago very unhappy about my obesity and worried about my future being only 18 but the service i have recieved since then has been amazing. I was given immediate support and went through multiple health care checks both physical and mental to ensure that getting a gastric sleeve was the right course of action. often being heard and respected is hard when youre obese and even harder when youre an obese young person but not once did tonic make me feel ignored. they respected my decisions and listened to my doubts and concerns. every aspect was a breeze scheduling wise and lots of effort was made to fit around my schedule. I had my surgery september 2021 and have now lost about 80lbs. it is a challenge but my life is so much better in every way because of the surgery and the tonic team. thank you to everyone at tonic
