When you lose a parent its an emotionally challenging time. Finding people to genuinely help with the mountain of subsequent issues is not easy. We dealt with Damien at Christophers who was just such a person in taking care of everything around the funeral, church service and burial. Hugely supportive, professional and easy to talk to, Damien and the team took care of the hardest part for my family. I have no doubt that he played a huge role in making sure my father had the send off he wanted and deserved, with thanks from Patrick & Juliet

When I first met Damien, I think I was in a state of shock after the death of my dear Mum: I managed to be business like, but as time passed, I felt my confidence in myself slip away and Damien was absolutely brilliant in the way he handled the whole procedure. He was so gentle and helpful and never in the least stressed. My mother's cremation was a beautiful and very personal service, expertly conducted by Damien and his team. It was a comfort to know that Mum was in the lovely chapel of rest in Ashburton and it was no trouble for Damien to allow me one last look at Mum in her final peaceful state inside her beautiful willow coffin. Charles Russell was our celebrant (at Damien's suggestion) and again, he was thoughtful and considerate of our feelings as well as being incredibly generous and helpful. On the day, the hearse was immaculate and the bearers were so professional. I honestly felt overwhelmed by the kindness and support provided by Damien and his team. Thank you all so very much.

Losing a loved is a traumatic event, I did not know what to expect or what to do when arranging a funeral. Christophers Family Funerals collected mum from our home shortly after she had passed. They called us to say she was settled into their care. My mum was treated with kindness, respect and dignity throughout the whole funeral process. My father wanted to play an active role in her burial, choosing the plot and overseeing mums final journey.He was able to visit mum in the Ashburton Chapel of Rest, they dressed her in clothes of our choosing. Every tiny detail was taken care of to ensure a personalised service. I cannot thank them enough and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone needing to lay a loved one to rest. Especially in difficult lockdown times, mums farewell was the very best it could have been. Thanks again to Tom, Damien and Cam for supporting and guiding us during our greif.

Thank you to Tom, Damien and everyone at Christophers Family Funerals in Ashburton. We had never had to arrange a funeral before but you made it all so easy. Nothing was too much trouble and every detail was dealt with with such respect and dignity. The care and attention and thought for our family was incredible and we know our Mum wouldve been touched by the efforts you went to to make her day so beautiful. Thank you does not seem enough. After the lost of my mum I was at the lowest point in my life. Through no fault of my own I was unable to provide my mum with even a simple service. Until I went to Christophers' Family Funerals.....they not only provided my mum with a service.....but they helped me out of a very dark time in my life with their customer service that is beyond compare and the understanding and sympathetic care that I was shown from my first meeting through my mum's service and after. I can't thank them enough for all they have done for me.
