Distinct Bathrooms

I was a bit surprised when I walked into an empty shop and asked for bathroom tiles to be told to go on the website instead. Despite having a couple of displays in their showroom, I was told they dont sell many bathroom floor tiles. What is a shame is that I was renovating an ensuite bathroom and would have needed many more items than just floor tiles but there was zero qualification and any attempt at engagement or building rapport with a potential customer who was ready to spend. Drove to Derby instead and spent over 2500 for a simple renovation. Im guessing they either must want complete bathroom jobs or are so busy they dont need new customers. Pity! I have since received a reply to my review but sadly you have missed the point. Im a local and I like to support local business. I used to have a small business my self. Rather than being defensive about the feedback, accept that any customer that walks into the store is potential business. The staff could have tried to find out more about my project and perhaps even tried to help me by going on to the website with me in the store. The staff were not interested. In fact I felt like I was not welcome in the store and had perhaps interrupted something more.interesting. Its not the size of the store that is the issue otherwise I wouldnt have driven the twenty minutes to visit. It was simply a poor experience. Take it on the chin and learn from it. My purchase in Derby had nothing to do with the size of the store and everything to do with how the staff treated me and assisted my requirements.

Brilliant customer service, excellent knowledge of products and great expertise. Martin is a very nice guy, easy to approach and a fountain of knowledge. Always Happy to help. Would highly recommend!

Lovely and supportive customer service. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and understanding of our needs for our bathroom. Couldnt recommend Sophie and Martin enough! Very grateful for what theyve done for us and for a beautiful bathroom!

We came to Martin and Sophie to get our very tired bathroom replaced. I was greeted warmly on entering the shop, and a date was made for Martin to come around and meet us. Martin came on time and was very friendly and helpful. He went away and emailed us some suggestions based on our discussions with designs of how it would look. We went into the shop to further discuss with Sophie and Martin and make iterations to the designs. Martin would not allow us to make a deposit until we were happy with the specification and had fully decided what we wanted. His attention to detail is high and wants his customers to be happy with what the have chosen. Sophie was super helpful and great at making decorative suggestions. The communication was excellent throughout. When the date came for the work to begin we met Scott who would be with us for the duration of the work. The work ended up being more tricky than originally anticipated due to the states of the walls underneath and the pipework etc. Scott was always cheerful and by the end felt like one of the family. The children loved chatting with him when they were around and he had infinite patience. He is fastidious in his work and always leaves everywhere tidy at the end of the night. The other tradesmen Martin chooses to work on the job (plasterer, electrician etc) are also brilliant. At the end of the job we were so happy with the result it almost felt a shame to start using them as they looked so great. The quality of everything that Martin supplied is extremely high. I would highly recommend Distinct Bathrooms for both the products but more importantly the people involved.
