Two delicious Thali's, very authentic and a refreshing change from so many of the humdrum curry houses in the UK.

Absolutely superb food and service. The Railway Curry was amazing and bursting with flavour. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Possibly the best I have ever had. Thank you. Also, thank you for my birthday glass of wine.

This place has now has a "New Image" post Covid - claims to be "Authentic Indian Street Food" - it is a shame that it is not charging "Indian Street Food" Prices... It is nothing like the Indian Street food I experienced when on tour in India - in reality it is a Non-Authentic bland BIR whose "Cuisine" falls far short of the established English Curry Capitals such as Bradford or Birmingham. Had "Mothers Butter Chicken" - an excuse for a very average Hybrid Chicken Curry that one could easily rustle up at home. Not cheap - Party of Four - ordered and drank well - We left a large tip - only to find later that they had already taken a mandatory 10% Service Charge on the receipt - they did not let us know about this surcharge at the time and scooped up the money. Would expect better from the Wait Staff- Be Aware - Always Check the Bill for Mandatory Service Charge !

Heres an honest review- We didnt made any reservations before going to Anayas Bombay restaurant and were thus asked to come back after 20 minutes even though there were seats for customers to wait (cue 1). We waited at the restaurant, the restaurant manager gave us the menu card and said this is not like other Indian restaurants, you need to make a minimum spend to dine here (cue 2). We got the table after waiting for 7 minutes. The waiter came to take the order; we ordered main course- two gravy dishes and some bread. The waiter was insistent that we order a starter and order some drinks. On telling him that we have to drive, he suggested that we order a non-alcoholic drink, which we didnt want. He then mentioned that there is a minimum spend of 30 for a guest to dine in there restaurant (cue 3). We added Popadums to our order but the order value didnt meet their minimum spend criterion, even though the order value was way above 30. He then went to the manager for approval before accepting our order (cue 4). Minutes later he came, and said it is approved. The food was served after waiting for 20 minutes. Paneer makhani was sweet, dal had no salt to it and garlic chicken had big pieces of garlic in it. We finished what we could. Paid for the food and left. Wed not recommend this restaurant to anyone and would recommend the restaurant to take customer service seriously and work on their dishes before claiming they are unlike any other Indian restaurant.
