I had the best day with Philip. So informative and interesting. He helped me achieve my unconventional design and showed me a range of fascinating historical techniques.

I had been looking for something unique and totally different for my daughter for some time she is a gardener, and wanted a knife for cutting herbs, trimming back plants along with other gardening and kitchen related jobs. when I happened upon Mountain King Forge.. Philip chose and made for her the perfect piece something that she was absolutely thrilled with, not only did it do all she needed and more, but was amazed at how it fitted her hand when never even meeting its creator.. in use everyday... Thank you Philip...

I had a day course with Phil in his smithy and it was a fantastic experience I would recommend for anyone interested in blacksmithing either as a hobby or for those seeking professional knowledge of the craft. Phil is friendly, patient and full of knowledge and tips that made the learning process enjoyable and very easy to understand. He has a great smithy set up full of tools, equipment, interesting blades, armour and other work pieces that I could have spent hours perusing. All in all I had a really fun day of learning and came away with a really unique blade and a thirst for more that only a hammer and anvil will quench.

Spent a few days with Phil last year to learn basics of blacksmithing. Great pace of learning making some interesting items. Nothing was too much trouble and I considered it great value for money. I stay in touch as Philip is a great source for any queries or problems I come across and he is always happy to pass on advice and assistance. Thanks again Philip.
