Having spoken to a number of funeral directors it was clear from the very beginning when talking to Liz that AJ Brooke were head and shoulders above the rest, both in terms of compassion but also for knowledge and understanding. Liz was absolutely fantastic in answering my (many) questions, and really explained the process and all options very clearly and in an easy to understand manner. Gemma was also brilliant, very knowledgeable and understanding and made it very clear that they aim to pay the utmost respect to your loved ones. The actual service was very respectful and all family members agreed that the way AJ Brooke handled themselves was phenomenal. Highly recommend to everyone.

A brilliantly ran, family owned Funeral directors. They handled my Nans funeral brilliantly and ensured everything ran well on the day. All the staff were friendly, compassionate and answered any questions we had. They were very accommodating in allowing me to view my Nan lying in state. I was unsure to begin with whether it was the right thing to do but decided it was. They allowed me to view her on the last day and I'm glad I made the 400 mile round trip to see her one last time. They answered all the questions I had about the day including what I would have to do as a Pall bearer, and they made sure all my worries were at ease. Even on the day, they made sure that everybody was still happy to be a pallbearer, and again, everything I was told would happen, happened. It made a sad day so much better thanks to the amazing work they did. A credit to the industry. Thank you again

We honestly cannot rate the personal service offered by Gemma, Liz and the team at AJ Brooke - along with Aimee as celebrant - highly enough. It was the first time we have had to organise a funeral for a family member and time was taken to explain slowly and carefully what the process would look like and the choices we would need to make. We were dealt with sensitively and our mother was treated with the utmost respect. No request was ever too much for Gemma & Liz who went out of their way to help our Mum in her final moments, even going as far as dying her hair for her, which she had wanted to do for a while but owing to pain in her back hadn't been able to do it. At no time were we, or our mum, ever treated as just another number; we never had to introduce ourselves, they knew who we were and addressed us by our first names, and knew who was in their care at all times. I would not hesitate to use AJ Brooke again and will be recommending them to everyone we know. To Gemma and Liz, thank you so, so much for making a difficult time for us so much easier and Aimee thank you for your beautiful service, everyone has commented how lovely it was. Outstanding.
