My daughter has attended this school for 2 years now and although she had some initial problems with leaving a parent etc she has settled in brilliantly. She loves the school and all the kids from reception to Year 6 know each other by name. Teachers know all the children, not just their class. Everyone is super friendly from children to parents and teachers. Children are polite and respectful which seems to be a rarity these days. As the school is so small, so too can the class sizes which can only benefit my child. It is a nurturing environment in reception and the kids are supported and encouraged to reach their potential as they go through the years. My second child will be starting in 2019 and the KS1 teachers already know who he is! The school has a great community feel with a great PTA team- they have wonderful events for the children and adults and it really brings the village together to support the school.

I have two children currently at St Peters primary school and honestly we couldnt be happier. Yes the Ofsted report could be better but as an ex teacher I take the Ofsted report and its findings with a pinch of salt. My two sons are incredibly happy at school and are thriving children. The school and the classes are small (Reception has 16 students). This has been hugely beneficial for both my children, one who is extremely outgoing has managed to not flit from friendship to friendship but has made lasting bonds with his peers. My younger son is much shyer in comparison and being in a smaller environment has really come out of himself and is becoming much more outgoing. Classes are now made up of two year groups which really has actually benefitted many children. Obviously if numbers increase this may change but for us and our family it has worked really well. Im amazed at what the children learn each day, the range of subjects and the way they are taught is fabulous. Whether your child has additional needs, is average or above average learning pitched at the right level takes place time and time again. Resources are very good with the latest interactive screens used daily in lessons. Bullying seems non-existent. The older children very much look after the younger ones. When my eldest started the school he adored the elder year 6 boys who humoured his constant questions and made an effort to be kind and caring. There are a range of after school clubs which are offered to the children. Communication between the school and parents is superb. The parents of the school also run a small Facebook group which again helps with communication and what events are happening with the school of which are many. Finally I think its important to say all the head master, teacher, teaching assistant and support staff all know each and every child. Every morning the head stands by the school entrance saying good morning to us as we enter, not only does he know the childrens names he knows their brothers and sisters. This to me is such a positive aspect to the school, when my youngest was at preschool he already knew the head and made the transition to starting this year in Reception absolutely seamless. St Peters definitely deserves a 5* for its nurturing, friendly and family orientated school.

St Peter's is a wonderful school, with a warm and nurturing culture and atmosphere. All children throughout the school are known by all the teachers, and the children, irrespective of year, play and interact with each other. All the children look out for each other. My daughter has thrived at St Peter's, and loves going to school. There is nothing better than knowing your child is happy, settled, enjoying her learning & progressing well. The school has a wonderful village feel with teachers who truly care for the education they are providing and the emotional welfare of the children.
