Bates Funeral Directors provided an outstanding and professional service for my mother's funeral. Their attention to detail and caring approach enabled us to plan a fitting service for my mother and supported my father in his grief. I cannot recommend them more highly.

I couldn't recommend R.M. Bates funeral directors enough. Sadly we had to use their services after unexpectedly losing our Dad in 2017. Georgina and Clive arranged a home visit with us within 24 hours and very sensitively guided us through the process, and made suggestions on what we had requested all in the comfort of our own home. They were compassionate and empathetic throughout the entire process and made sure that we fully understood everything before making any final decisions. Georgina even recommended that I compare other funeral directors to make sure that we were happy. But that just cemented my decision even more, I wanted R.M. Bates to look after my Dad. The entire process from making difficult decisions to collecting his ashes was seemingly smooth. I absolutely have no doubt that my Dad was looked after respectfully and with dignity, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I will be forever grateful for the care and compassion that we received as a family from R.M. Bates. Thank you so much!!
