Absolutely disgusting and judgemental response to a very difficult phone call made just to enquire about rehoming options for our partially incontinent cat who suffered this as a result of injuries sustained after being run over. After nursing her back to life and caring for her for 2 years amongst an extremely busy family life we had decided she requires more than we can offer her. Making this call has taken 2 years and we were judged immediately for wanting to rehome her. I suggest that their policy of being a no-kill charity depends on how theyre feeling or which way the winds blowing on the day. Today we were told the advice given by the vets to kill her would be right. A healthy 6 year old cat! Other charities havent agreed with this option since she is happily living her life and just requires more attention than most. We dont believe in killing healthy cats either, so our search for the most appropriate home for her continues. Disgusting, backwards thinking charity.
