I've just moved into a property where I'm waiting to have major renovations done. The vendor employed Park Electrical to check the wiring. Unfortunately, the EICR done by Park Electrical was not thorough. A heating engineer from a different company had installed an immersion heater badly and was in a dangerous state. The old, cracked switch had not been replaced and got hot each time it was used. Also there was a fishy smell each time we switched it on. Apparently this is an indication that wires are burning up. As the gas central heating boiler was condemned, we had to rely on the immersion for hot water. My gas engineer said it was the worst wiring and installation he'd ever seen. He said it could have caused a fire. Why did this company not pick up on this obvious danger? Appalling to put people's lives in danger! I would have given no stars if could.
