Had an appointment for 0850 which seemed like an odd time with the store opening at 0900. attempted to enter at 0850 but the door is a locked and most of the lights are off, can see all the staff at the back of the store. Proceed to wait on the bench in front of the store whilst waiting for it to open. I watched 2 other people attempt to get. They tried to enter couldn't cause it was locked and walked off. At 0900 they proceed to turn on the lights and open the door, only to tell me upon that I've missed my appointment and I will have to re arrange for months down the line because they are so busy/booked atm (which I am sure they are) My issue here is if your appointments at a time before the stores opened make it clear/actually inform the customers of this. I genuinely just assumed when no one was at the door and it was locked, the booking time was done like this to ensure everyone arrived ten mins before there appointment to minimise lateness or something. How is it possible that 3 people can approach the door and not one of us were greeted or no one came to the door for any of us. Again could see a load of staff all the way at the back of the store up at the top of the stairs/raised section, but didn't see anyone at the front when I arrived, and I guess they weren't there when the other 2 customers attempted either as they both walked off. To be told it was just unfortunate and one of those things, actually wound me up to be honest. It wasn't unfortunate, it's an awfully implemented and rubbish process that clearly fails if 3 people can approach the store front try the locked doors and all walk away. Will not be coming back to the store and will get my test/prescription and new lenses from vision express.
