The perfect post lockdown tonic :) It was a pleasure to finally experience The Sandy Feet Retreat! Having earmarked the property as a MUST for well over a year, the stay exceeded all expectations. A perfect advocate for 'The family UK (northern) beach staycation', the combination of attention to detail, contemporary design and the calm and relaxing surroundings of Anderby Creek, left the family needing nothing more from our summer holiday; either home or abroad. The property itself provided a good balance of homely touches and beautiful design, each bedroom for example feeling like your very own in a comfortable family setting. Of course the master bedroom and en-suite elevates that experience to new heights (!), particularly during sunrise and sunset whilst dozing in the swinging chair!. What a view!!The house is well equipped with more than enough basic amenities - modern kitchen, utility, smart TV in the snug etc, but again raises the bar with the amount of extras at your disposal from the beach kits, surfboards, bikes, kayaks, sunbeds on deck, and outdoor grill. This ensured we split our time between the house and the beach which was just a stone throw away, and maximised our stay with plenty of activity in the sea. We were extremely lucky with the weather, but each of our group agreed that the effort the owners have put into planning the house would ensure a superb experience regardless of the weather, which is an area other UK staycations can often fall short on. The pre arrival info was thorough and the guide book the owners left during the stay was very useful for all queries related to the house, whilst for families in particular, the offering of nearby attractions and local produce helped connect our stay to the broader local area, which worked well. We visited a couple of parks in the area, visited an award winning fish and chip shop and placed a fish order from a local supplier for a BBQ. The owners themselves were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish, and nothing was too much trouble at any point during our stay. 10/10 Sandy Feet. Thank you. We'll be back!

We had a great time at the beautiful Sandy Feet Retreat recently. The property had the ability to make you feel you did not have a worry in the world and the sunset/rises from the master bedrooms were spectacular. The location could not be better just a few steps from the beach and dunes which were handy for shelter from the wind in April and only a few minutes walk to the local cafe which served amazing breakfasts (with a pint!) The house itself had all you could ask for and was very clean and tidy on arrival. The log burners were a great bonus for a quiet night in. The bedrooms were all super comfy and the bath overlooking the sea was a luxury. If a bath isn't your thing the showers in the main bathroom were amazing also. Our one year old enjoyed the freedom of being able to go in and out of the house as he pleased and the short walk to the beach and travel to local towns (skegness etc) was not far so there was always plenty to do. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return as the escape from reality was much needed!

As a family, we absolutely adored the sense of freedom away from the day to day and the raw connection with nature right outside our doorstep. We were blessed with amazing weather for a couple of days, where our little one could enjoy the Sandyfeet Retreat watertoys. On the one day it was windy and raining, the house turned on its romantic charm. We felt safe and cosy next to the wood fire, enjoying our home-cooked meal for the night. The amenities the house has could keep us entertained for weeks and weeks. We explored a little further down the immaculate beach and took a little jaunt to the local Observatory, they made barista style coffees that even us caffeine snobs approved. This little slice of secret cielo was absolutely perfect for our staycation. Highly recommend and we will for sure be back.
