        A wonderfully refreshing break in a beautiful setting. Anton and Philip could not have been more welcoming or helpful and the food was delicious.. The views from the large, airy bedrooms were out of this world and access to the superb selection of books was much appreciated.Recommended to anyone looking for peace and sanity in this bizarre year.

        A very well appointed room, with stunning views.The room is extremely well appointed and the cleanliness is second to none. The rest of the property is just as well thought out, with books, magazines and little reading areas set aside with comfortable furniture throughout. The gardens are as fragrant and beautiful as you would expect. The owner's are very helpful and have obviously worked very hard to keep up the high standards of their B&B. I would not hesitate to recommend Shallowdale House to anyone. I only wish we could stay longer.
