This was our 4th visit to studford. Normally staying in Badger, this wasn't available so we had an offer from management for a discounted rate kingfisher lodge. Beautiful surroundings and stunning lodges. However this time was a bit of a disappointment and seems the 5 star is slipping slightly. When booking the kingfisher we had to phone Cesca in the office, there is nowhere on the website and it wasnt stated on the phone that the blinds dont work in the living room, some people might not like this as they are large windows. We found this out after paying for the lodge. Make sure you read to the bottom of your welcome email it says it at the bottom. When we first walked in there was a dirty tissue on the floor. The cushions for the decking furniture were mouldy, just need washing. The curtains in the bedroom full of dust, the toilet leaking in one of the bathrooms, the fridge leaking on to the floor. Dried up ketchup on the table. My husband slipped on this whilst we were packing away to go home. Wifi went out for 2 hours a night. The hot tubs need updating, some jets don't work. Overall disappointed.
