Sunday is fun day at the Model railway. Pop by on Sunday afternoons for free entry to this lovely site, and to enjoy very reasonably priced rides on one of the model trains. Lots of club members take turns to sell tickets, punch tickets, ride round with guests and chat with visitors. Everyone is friendly and welcoming of the public to their wonderful model railway. Clearly these engineers have spent years working on their hobbies, and happily allow us to share in the fun on Sunday afternoons. The track loops around their well maintained garden site, with crossings, bridges, sidings and train sheds. In the middle is a little tearoom serving mugs of tea and coffee, plus a great playground for kids to enjoy. They have a tabletennis table and across the track is a football pitch, keeping the army of visitors and engineers grandchildren entertained. We spent a couple of very enjoyable hours watching other people enjoying their train rides, eating our snacks and drinking tea. I was happy with the one train ride, but the kids went round a few times. Set in lovely countryside on the edge of a picturesque Yorkshire village, well worth a visit.

A magical place where VERY talented engineers and other members of the club have created a microcosm of miniature railway engineering. Simply a Fabulous to visit and not to be missed.
