Spent a fantastic week exploring the wood, playing in the garden, eating alfresco with evening bbqs and camp fires. A wonderful place for both an active and relaxing family getaway with so much space for the dogs to roam

We (and the dogs) had a lovely time. Cakes, bread, biscuits, eggs, coffee and tea in a complementary basket on arrival. Smart TV with Netflix, Prime and Disney etc. 10 out of 10. We will be back next year for sure. Love you x

As part of a house move, we spent 3 weeks staying at Lodge Cottage. It was.a perfect choice with all the amenities we needed (plus more!) set in a wonderful location. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and the grounds a constant joy, enjoyed immensely by a visiting 12 year old grandson plus our 2 dogs! The location is lovely and made all the better by the friendly neighbours. Whilst enjoying the lovely local walks, got to speak with a number of them and all very friendly. Walking routes to Hovingham are varied and very pleasant - highly recommended. Anthony was a pleasure to deal with from the offset. Helped us arrange our booking and ensured all arrangements were in place. A very amenable host. No hesitation in recommending a stay at The Lodge Cottage and thank you to Anthony for hosting us.
