        Such a beautiful place. Unfortunately, they no longer offer the guided tours and cafe is currently closed but the lovely lady in the reception showed us the crypt and said we could go down and have a look around.

        Stunning view back to Ampleforth Abbey and College from top of Yearsley bank, the road from Wass to Oswaldkirk has some of the most scenic views of the Hambledon Hills in North Yorkshire. . .

        Turned up on a Sunday where it should be open and nothing was open. The church and shops was all closed and even the windmill. Came here to explore while on holiday up in the Yorkshire dales. Very disappointed that everything was closed. No notice online or ok leaflets left in my holiday cottage saying that its all closed up.
