Vobster Quay is located in the county of Somerset in the southwest of England, United Kingdom. It is a freshwater inland dive site situated in the village of Upper Vobster, near Radstock. The former quarry has been transformed into a popular diving location with various underwater attractions, including sunken boats, aircraft, and various underwater platforms and structures. I love to visit Vobster Quay because of the open-water swimming; although it is a bit of a trek for me to drive there, it's well worth the effort. Vobster Quay is a welcoming place for open-water swimmers, both beginners and those with more experience. It has a range of high-quality facilities that provide all you need to enjoy a fun and leisurely swimming experience. You can pre-book swimming slots from 08:00 mid-week and 09:00 at weekends; I prefer popping in during the week as it can become quite busy. The site does have two large car parks; I can't remember seeing any dedicated disabled parking; I've just had to make do with what is available. You can tuck into some on-site catering which offers a range of tasty hot and cold food and drinks. I recommend Vobster Quay if you are after a memorable day out.
