You aren't allowed to drink water either even if it's in a water bottle! Rediculous. Think that's against human rights surely!?!? Not. Impressed I wasn't well either v unhappy about being told I couldn't drink even water..

I have always been lucky to work and I have always stood on my own two feet without asking for help. Due to long term illness, I have been on half pay with my employer and it took over four months of struggling and not coping to ask for help. You hear a lot of horror stories about job centers and benefits so you can understand why I was so scared to go and seek help. I wish I hadn't left it so long as I had a completely different experience at Chesham job center than I expected. I spoke to a friend who has also been there and she agreed with me that the staff were so helpful, kind, compassionate and caring and did their best to advise and help you. There has been a 4 part panorama documentary on Universal credits. I feel so sorry for the staff as their hands are tied and unable to change problems, I have waited five weeks for money and UC decision and after a phone conversation with UC on Monday I was told it's too late now and I have to wait four more weeks for it to rectify. I was so happy to hear that Jack at the Chesham job center obviously went more than the extra mile to help me and thanks to him, I won't be taking my life just yet.
