The staff attended to politely. One thing I experienced is dispensary orders don't appear to be ready for collection though the patient script was received hours before.

Everytime I go in on a Saturday to collect my prescription the queue is huge, there only ever one lady on the till trying to deal with everything herself and she's doing the best she can. Why is there not more staff!

I'm getting really tired of Boots in general. They have a serious staffing issue that's appeared in branches across the UK. In this instance they cancelled my annual flu jab and offered me a booking two weeks later. The pharmacist was apparently sick. Though at this time of year you should expect to have cover for that. This kind of sloppy management is bad enough but it's the staff I find truly inexcusable. Staff will happily lie to you. I was told that if I rescheduled my appointment and wanted to cancel, I could only do so the day before the appointment. This is completely false. You can cancel at any time. I was also advised to go to a pharmacy a ten minute walk away if I wanted a walk in. Instead of the pharmacy literally a two minute walk away, which gave me a walk in flu jab on the same day. I'm not convinced the pharmacy further away even do walk-in vaccinations for the flu as it's set up for Covid vaccinations. This kind of behaviour isn't excusable. I won't be inconvenienced and misled by them any further. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. I long stopped using them for prescription services as online delivery is far more convenient. Really, they have nothing to offer anymore. Savers and FMY are both no frills establisments that get the job done. Unfortunately I had to go visit the branch in person a few weeks ago as a last resort. I thought the other customer reviews about rude staff were just exaggerated but no... they're not. I was greeted with an terse "yes?" when it was my turn to be served, and referred to as "some guy" by the same pharmacist to another member of staff. I don't expect to be treated like royalty but I'd rather not feel like I'm in a Faulty Towers sketch. It's not difficult to simply ask, "How can I help?" and refer to someone as "a customer". At this rate Boots are going to go the way of M&Co. They're making losses year on year and it's painfully clear why. Good luck surviving the inevitable administration guys.
