Absolutely fantastic view of the lake and surrounding mountains, great location for exploring, and the restaurant was delicious for both breakfast and lunch. Definitely a smaller establishment than my partner and I usually opt for, but they made our stay so easy and stress-free and made us feel like family. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Ambleside. The only reason I've given 4 stars for the room is because there was only one accessible wall outlet and it was on the opposite wall from the bed. I prefer to keep my phone on the nightstand while sleeping for various reasons and I wasn't able to charge it overnight because of this. Otherwise, the room was very well-kept, the bathroom was modern and spacious, and there were nice toiletries and other items provided.
