        Came in today for some boots. I knew what I was looking for in advance, but the owners were super helpful and really nice to deal with. Seemed to have a good range of high quality footwear and I cant wait to test out my new LOWA Mountain boots in the field!

        I had been looking for a replacement pair of walking boots and after trying lots of other shops F W Tyson had the best quality boots in Ambleside coupled with the best service and advice. Fantastic family ran shoe shop and I couldn't recommend highly enough. I bought a pair of leather Meindl walking boots and they're the best value for money compared with everything else I'd looked at.
