Heart of the Lakes - Lake District Cottages

Poor experience with this company. Greedy and uninterested in resolving. I feel sorry for all customers and owners of properties alike.

Had a cottage booked (Fern cottage and had stayed there twice before) months in advance and received an email two days before the booking started to tell me HOTL had cancelled it due to a boiler failure, which I understand can happen. The reason for my one star is that they were happy to take my money but didnt have the courtesy to even call me in person to tell me this, just an email. I did get a refund but if its my business and Ive let the customer down at such short notice Im doing everything to put it right, whether thats providing another property at cost to HOTL or offering a future discount, They just tried to sell me other cottage - no thanks! They call themselves a family business, think its their family thats being looked after!

Absolutely stunning in any aspect you care to mention! A high spec, immaculately designed property. Owners are helpfulness itself and the walks from the house meant we ditched the car for most of the week. A perfect place to relax.

Used this agency many times to hire holiday cottage in lake district. Cottage always very clean. Proffesional service and friendly staff. Web site easy to get around and use.
