Had the best sleep on the floor in this grand establishment but was woken up by a mumbling farmer.

Handy location in a pay and display visitor car park that is open 7 days a week. Felt that 50p was a lot to pay to visit the loo and it's contactless payment only. The floor was very wet but the toilets and wash basins had been adequately cleaned and the hand washing facilities were satisfactory. It's only a very short walk from here across a footbridge to the Bridge House and town centre shops and cafes.

Top attraction: the dirtiest toilets in the lake district. Only 50p! Do yourself a favor and find somewhere off trail to pee.

These are pay toilets with the funds raised supposedly going to the up keep of the facility. However these toilets (men's at least) are disgusting.

50p to use a toilet, is disgusting. Total rip off. No toilet rolls in Ladies either. It's a human need to use a toilet not make money at extortionate prices. Shame on you Ambleside.
