Elder Grove B&B

We agree with the other reviews on the cleanliness and helpfulness of the owners. In particular, we informed Matthew that we were traveling by motorbike and he reserved us a parking spot that was most sheltered and out of site of the road. The B&B is located very close to the shops and restaurants. The room was large, clean, warm, quiet, with good quality tea and coffee facilities, bedside USB sockets and large tv. The bathroom clean and the bath/shower powerful. Each room had a boot tray. Wifi is free and good enough to stream. Breakfast was varied and good quality local produce. There is also an honesty bar. Areas for development: There was no safe in the room. Offer an anchorage for securing motorbikes.

It was our first time staying at Elder Grove but it definitely won't be our last. We absolutely loved it. The location is perfect, you are right next to the town centre. The room was huge and the bed was really comfortable. The rooms are decorated beautifully and also have all the modern conveniences like easy-to-access sockets either side of the bed for charging, great tea and coffee facilities, honesty bar etc. The bathroom was big, clean and modern. Loads of hot water and great water pressure, just what you need after a wet and windy walk. They really have thought of everything, including a tray for muddy boots. The breakfasts were lovely and generous, just like our hosts. Best B&B I've ever stayed in. Marie & Dave

We recently enjoyed a nice break here in a very comfortably room. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The full breakfast was delicious and is made with local produce. Plus the B&B is only a short walk to the town centre.

Rooms: Spotless! And very well presented with every detail well thought out. Nearby activities: Plenty to do in Ambleside and the wider Lakes Safety: The house feels safe and secure. Walkability: Easy walking distance into the centre of Ambleside. Food & drinks: Absolutely fantastic Breakfast, really very enjoyable and a fully stocked honesty bar for the evening! Noteworthy details: A home away from home, could not recommend enough, fantastic hosts, location, venue and service!
