There were lots of pros to this hotel: Great location Dog friendly warm and clean Great housekeeping The car park pass is really good If you're going to Ambleside to go out then this is a good hotel for you Cons: Failed to let us know there would be overnight road works, appreciate this is not the hotel's fault but if they had let us know there would be someone hammer drilling the road outside our room until 12 at night we could have got earplugs. The noise from the local bar underneath as they had a band on with an electric guitar going on until 1:30 am was unbearable (all weekend) -, its a very busy road and everyone stands outside chatting and set off the alarms until 2 am in the morning - it's the main drinking place. It's a nice hotel, if you're after a hotel to go out in the area then its good, but if like us, you were hoping for a nice relaxing time for walking/hiking and sleeping then it's not.

There were lots of pros to this hotel:
Great location
Dog friendly
warm and clean
Great housekeeping
