Positives: Big room, big bathroom and a hot shower. This is based on flat 1 experience only. I was swayed by previous reviews into believing in this place so much that I booked with them and not the tried and tested last minute stays like Premier Inn or Travel Lodge. Worst mistake. The beds were prickly and squeeky you'd wake up every time you turn. The pillows, rubbish. The single chairs in the bedrooms and bathrooms all have wierd stains on them, i am sorry buy they do. Just observe the position of the stains and the colour. There is that aweful pub karaoke, traffic noise and the non noise cancelling windows, erk! And what's with the people leaving the front door open downstairs, feels unsafe. The door locks are a nightmare to figure out esp on the day of arrival but gets easier with time. The private bathroom shown in the pictures, it's across the hall. My wife had dodgy guts after drinking the included hot chocolate on our first night and had to keep opening two crickling doors (bedroom and bathroom doors) all night long. The floors are also very crickly, if that's an English word. There is no privacy at all for a dirty night in due to paper thin walls, you here whispers and footsteps all night long. Location is poor, especially if you drive here. The so called free parking is a mile away and directions to it are not very clear. I have included the signage pic here for the car park. If you find yourself booking here at least get parking right. If you are in the car park with clear signage and ticket machines, you are in the wrong one. There is zero comfort here, look elsewhere. The two stars are for bedroom and bathroom sizes, as hot shower and a electricity. Better than sleeping in a tent.

Excellent 1 night stay on bonfire night, 2022. Got given room 8, top floor, family room. Spacious and clean with a separate bathroom, which by the way was huge. No lifts, obviously, so plenty of steps but walking is my hobby, so no problem, there. Staff really friendly.parking is literally 5 minutes walk to a nearby football field. Can't understand people complaining about the distance to the parking area as it's free for the duration of your visit. Didn't hear any noise being on top floor. Lower levels may be noisy, especially from Lily's Bar, which is open till 1 on a Friday and Saturday night, but we was in said bar till that time anyway Would recommend asking for rooms 8, 9 and 10 if you don't like any noise Overall, great place for what was used as a base to sleep
