        Such a lovely place to stay, with such an amazing host! Robin knew something about every topic, bird watching for my mom and politics and London life for me. He was such an accommodating host, with so much local knowledge to share, but I very much got the impression that if you were more independent, he would be a great host for that as well. He could adapt to any type of guest. The house and whole set up is very comfortable, and Ambleside, as you would imagine, is a dream. Can't recommend enough.

        What a beautiful place. In an elevated position with stunning views over Ambleside, Robin's cosey and very comfortable barn provided the ideal location for a wonderful weekend in the lakes. The barn is a stone's throw from the centre of Ambleside the lovely Golden Rule pub and plenty of good restaurants. Robin provides a very warm welcome and is very hospitable. Great breakfast and very comfortable room. Would highly recommend for those who want some peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. Great walks straight from the door.
