The Gables Guesthouse, Ambleside

The Guesthouse is easily accessible, central location, the staff is friendly and supportive. The breakfast is good. The rooms are clean. The only issue is the car park. The Guesthouse car park is limited to 4-5 cars but you can park on the streets and there is a church beside where the car can be parked occasionally. Overall 4.5/5. I would definitely recommend to stay. Rooms: Clean and provided with basic necessities.

Very nice just needed a base for a 2 day hiking trip. Chosen by the walk leader I found this place to be very nice and good communication before and during. Breakfast is 10/10. Communal areas very modern. Room had everything I needed, as with all guest houses often not the biggest rooms but able to make myself at home and importantly regulate temperature (often stayed in guest houses where its too hot or stuffy, this was great). Staff very nice. Highly recommended. Rooms: Nice, clean, tidy, nice light and big windows that opened for fresh air. Decent en-suite with everything needed.
