We took our children with grandchildren to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We love the Vicarage because its very comfortable, and the owners are friendly and accomodating. Being in the centre of Ambleside its great to park up and not bother about driving for a couple of days. The pool is a bonus which we all made the most of. Whilst it's not cheap, it's worth the price.

This is a dog friendly favourite for us, so starting to feel like a holiday home not a bed and breakfast. We had a downstairs family room this time which was right near the enterance so meant a little extra noise than usual but with two dogs great accessibility and if you needed wheelchair access this is a great room. Always get great service, and the staff are lovely.
