Went in with my old Toyota, after telling me the bad news expecting a reasonable bill. Free of charge Lovley shock.

Welcoming and friendly from the outset. Went on a Sunday so it was quieter. Probably best to try to book a time slot before you go, it helps the staff out especially if they are in short supply on the day. They took the time to listen to what I needed and we were able to negotiate with patience on both sides....and a sense of humour.

I wanted an approved used Toyota Yaris and found a suitable car at this dealership. I was reassured by all the benefits you get with an approved used Toyota and wanted a low hassle purchase. I was initially impressed with the sales manager and put down a holding deposit to give me a couple of days to conduct due diligence and make a final decision. This is where things started to go wrong. When I did an MOT check on the car I discovered it had damage to some of the suspension and steering components. It also had only done 200 miles in the previous 8 months. I asked the sales manager to explain these anomalies but he couldn't so I decided not to purchase the car and asked for my deposit back. The sales manager was understanding and told me I would receive a refund in a couple of days. A week passed and I hadn't received a refund so I chased again and was assured it was coming soon. Another week passed and I still did not have the refund. I contacted Toyota UK and a few days later the refund came. I was disappointed on 2 fronts. The first that a car with a uncertain history was being offered through the approved Toyota network and the second, that I had to chase and chase, eventually contacting Toyota UK to get my deposit back. This was not what I had hoped and expected from a Toyota main dealer.
