This place cannot be called a care home! Blatant neglect and failure to maintain contact with family members meant my 89 year old grandmother went from walking in to the home, to losing a stone in weight and being admitted to hospital with severe dehydration and sepsis in just over 2 months. The A&E staff thought she lived alone as she looked so neglected. Sadly she passed away 2 days later. Home manager lied and regional manager tried to cover up their neglect through a delay in providing copies of paperwork which allowed them time to falsify recording. Please, please do not allow any member of your family to enter this home.

Moved an elderly frail relative here from another care home. All the staff are very friendly, caring and professional, and clearly very busy as with all care homes. The food is cooked on site and is great quality. It's a good home compared to others outside the area. There are nursing staff working there and regular support from the excellent local GP surgery. The environment is clean and tidy and well maintained. Nothing is too much bother for the maintenance staff. Communications with relatives are good. It took some time to arrange the move here because of problems with the local authority, and the management were very accomodating and supportive during the process. Activities are organised for the residents. All in all, highly recommended.

Absolutely disgraceful treatment of my 90 year old mother with advanced dementia who was in that place to be cared for and looked after. What happened to her by male carer was investigated by police and Safeguarding team from Northumberland County Council and I got her out of there asap to a proper care home where she was properly looked after and respected for the last 3 months of her life. Keep away from that place.
