Riverside South Downs Bike Hire

From start to finish, this was a good experience. The online booking was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful in setting us up on the bikes, providing us with all the kit we would need and suggesting some route options. The area is beautiful for cycling - from country lanes, dirt road and some more challenging technical paths - there really is something for everyone. We will definitely be back!

We came for breakfast and boat trip and afternoon tea , food was absolutely lovely and all the staff was so helpful and very friendly and we throughly enjoyed our boat experience would definitely recommend and we will be coming back again beautiful

E-bike hired today was in very good condition and well supported by slick service. Full emergency kit supplied. Helmet if I hadn't brought my own. Advice on routes, surfaces, places to eat was helpful. I undertook this as research for eventual purchase of my own and was given a series of useful hints and tips. Overall, an excellent experience in an ideal location near to a cafe, river, station and great riding on the South Downs. If you prefer, they can plot you an easier route that sticks to quiet roads and passes through the delicious Arun Valley with its handsome meadows and even more handsome pubs and cafes. Recommended strongly.

It was my birthday and we hired some bikes for the day and cycled to a riverside pub for a spot of lunch. My kids already had their own bikes but my husband and I do not have our own so we hired a couple of adult mountain bikes. Great quality and the man who served us went out of his way to find us a route to the pub we had booked. He also took time to ensure the bikes and helmets were a good fit and sent us on our way with locks, inner tubes, puncture repair kit and a first aid kit. Excellent service. The location of the Bike Hire is in such a picturesque spot by the river and a beautiful bridge so worth staying a bit longer for a coffee and cake. They also hire boats. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended

What a lovely morning spent on the river! Lewis our instructor was a pleasure from start to finish, thorough in his explanation on how to navigate the river, safety procedures and other notable pieces of information. Finished with a lovely coffee and spot of lunch. Highly recommended.
