Food mediocre at best they are living on a past reputation and taking advantage of the people in the village as they have the monopoly. Service could be refined. Fish bones found in the fish which is not acceptable Will not be back unfortunately until vast improvement is made.

Probably the best fish and chips in the world! (Really!) Wow ............ Just WOW Best fish and chips ever I can't tell you just how good this place is, but I'll try Nicest, freshest piece of cod I've ever eaten, and lovely batter Great chips and a very generous portion Perfect pea fritter AND, it's very reasonably priced I was offered, and accepted, a slice of lemon with my fish (Never been offered that in a takeaway before, nice!) I don't think they could do anything any better, I really don't This amazing chippy is ten miles from where I live, ( there are many that are nearer,) and I will definitely be going back Don't take my word for it, try them yourself, I promise you won't regret it The only possible negative is that I've heard there can be a queue at busy times But that is the best sign that they're good, right? Thank you Village Fish Bar Alverstoke for the best fish supper ever I'll happily queue for your food again
