Took a friend for lunch as had not been for a while and was not disappointed! Food delicious, staf very friendly and good value! Won't leave it so long next time!

Used to visit regular. Place took a downturn and we stayed away for around 18 months. Returned again last night and the change is amazing. Slight wait for food service but we were advised that on entry Served quickly with drinks and shown to a table. Food arrived within 25 minutes. 4 different choices. All piping hot. Presented beautifully. Couldnt fault it to be fair. Clean plates all round. Desserts were just as good and good size too The 2 young ladies behind the bar worked tirelessly and always with a smile All in all a lovely evening and were already planning our return. Visited sat 22 april 23 7pm

Great country pub. Food lovely;Cajun chicken burger and fish and chips. Menu has plenty of choice. Beer on cask was perfect and Staff were great and attentive. Been several times for Sunday lunch,which has never disappointed. Would highly recommend and will be back soon

Lovely pub and used to have pretty good food. Visited yesterday and was very dusapointed. Service was slow. Took the best part of an hour to recieve our food, and we'll, it wasn't worth the wait. I got a ploughman's, two chunks of cheese, mini pork pie. cellary and apple on the side, two pieces of brown brea a small pot of Branston and a couple of picked onions, no effort to present it nicely, no butter, no crusty bread. Wife. Wife's burger came without the coleslaw, which was required as it was dry as a bone. Kids pizza is literally one a small slice of pizza with pale chips. Such a shame for a lovely venue. Food has never been out of this world, but was always far better than this. Looks like there has been a change of ownership who are trying to squeeze out every penny, at the cost of the quality. Won't be returning, especially when there are so many amazing places in the surrounding area.
