Came to the Barge for a camping / walking trip. The experience may not have been the norm as it was a bank holiday weekend. Pros: - the toilets were clean and stocked with loo roll, and there were facilities for washing up etc - staff were friendly and very helpful - good selection of food and drinks in the pub - lovely walks nearby, and the setting by the canal is pleasant Cons: - pitches were not allocated and ended up very close together - it appears to be a bit of a party site, with loud music from other campers until about 4am In summary, it's a great place to go if you want late nights and a party atmosphere, but not for those who want a more relaxing camping experience.
