Alton Pain Clinic

I phoned for an emergency appointment and was booked in incredibly quickly. When I arrived I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and seen almost immediately by the consultant Munir who was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I received treatment the very same day and am already starting to regain a decent quality of life! Very grateful!

I had painful knee after twisting it playing golf. Tried my GP but was told I would have to wait 6 weeks for a phone consultation with a physiotherapist. Rang Alton Pain Clinic on a Friday and saw Munir on the Monday. He quickly diagnosed the problem with a scan and gave me a steroid injection which sorted the problem almost immediately. I was very impressed with the service and friendly attitude of Munir. I would , and indeed have, recommended Alton Pain Clinc.

Having just completed my 17th London Marathon (467th in total) I have felt exalted after my appointment last week with the Munir Khan, extended scope practitioner at the Alton Pain Clinic albeit at his Southfields branch. Munir's affable and confident manor was a breath of fresh air and he explained the process with a truly respected professional approach, which really helped put me at ease. This process involved doing bilateral ultrasounds and assessing the synovial fluid build up of Bakers Cysts that unfortunately exist in both my damaged knees. We then had an in depth discussion about what process and would be carried up, this would initially involve an aspiration of the synovial fluid in the left knee far more prominent than the right one, this was initially done. He then injected a hydro-cortizone to the left knee followed by a nerve blocker directly into the vein that controls the pain receptors in the left knee, this by the way was the first time I've had nerve blockers after almost 60 injections over the last 4 years. This process was then repeated in the right knee, which is far more damaged according to various scans, X-Rays and ultrasounds I have had done over the years. After the final nerve blocker in the right knee I was allowed to stand up and stretch out both knees. The process took about 45 mins in total and the conversation with Manir was catharthis personified. I was truly pleased to have had such a professional set of treatments. Suffering with bad back for years and various different appointments and specialist without success I decided to try Alton Pain Clinic - well I am very impressed with the quality of service and after care and can highly recommend them the pain is now under control and I am extremely grateful to the team

I cant recommend Adnan highly enough. He diagnosed and treated a back injury I sustained recently. The treatment was superb and he took into account my lifestyle and training commitments and had me back up and running within a week His knowledge and manner with clients is impeccable and the fact he is an extended scope practitioner is the icing on the cake
