        5 of us used Alston taxis this weekend for pick up in Alston & drop off in Dufton, the driver was waiting for us at our pick up point when we arrived & was informative about our walk back to Alston on the Pennine Way, Thanks

        Absolutely zero stars.we rang up for a return journey to the Cumberland as we had a meal booked and I've never experienced such an obnoxious man he said it wasn't worth his time and he wasn't providing a service. He said it wasn't worth him getting his car out. It has now put us off returning to Alston as he is the only taxi firm in the area. Sorry Alston but you need a reliable taxi firm not a man who doesn't consider a taxi firm being a service

        Driver was very friendly and very reasonable about loading our bikes in the car. He is a man with a van but a very spacious van! Not sure why the other reviews have given this a one star.
