The old dairy cottage

We have just had a wonderful week here at the Old Dairy! Perfect for the two of us and our dog! It's so quiet and peaceful to get away from work and life for a while. Super comfy bed, fabulous shower and everything you could need for self catering! Alston is a short drive away for supplies.. The Spar has a good butchers inside... Don't be fooled by the petrol station vibes! It's a beautiful drive to the common walking places.. Old Meg and the Lacy Caves is a pretty walk... We also did a circular walk around High Force and yesterday we did a 12km circular walk to see Cauldron Snout at the reservoir. Delia is an amazing host and so very friendly! They are a busy farming family but always time to chat and offer help if needed. The garden is enclosed if you have a dog and Ripley was well behaved and was enamored by the pheasants! Lovely local walk along the river for the dog and post pub lunch! Highly recommended!
