After breaking my glasses clean in half while on holiday, and unsuccessfully finding somewhere to fix them, Thompson's was my last hope, oh boy!! I should have gone here first , within 5 minutes of being in the shop, the friendly gentleman had found a perfect matching frame and literally saved my bacon plus the price was very reasonable, what a total gentleman and a scholar!!!

Having been advised that my glasses frame repair was to take a week at least I wandered into Thompsons to be greeted like a long lost friend by Stephen who proceeded to repair my frame on the spot . Service of a type long forgotten in todays mass market culture- oh if this could by taught to todays retail and service staff. A pure privilege to be a customer!

Visited this shop this morning to enquire about getting my frames glazed, using a prescription from another optician. Lady who opened the door was very unfriendly and kinda aggressive tbh. She insisted I needed an appointment (not sure what for as we already had a prescription). I'd personally avoid, much better opticians in Alnwick, with less of an attitude problem.
