West Acre House (English Tourist Board 5 Stars)

Absolute gem of a place to stay. Jeannette and Bruce are superb hosts and have a wonderful home they share with guests. The house is finished to a high standard, with large, beautifully clean rooms. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice for a small bed and breakfast, and puts many hotels to shame. We cannot recommend West Acre highly enough, thank you Jeannette and Bruce for making our stay in Alnwick a perfect one.

Just spent 2 nights at west acre house. Stayed in the oriental room which was immaculate and really spaceous. We arrived and were offered a cup of tea and slice of cake in the conservatory whilst chatting to our host. The breakfast choice was fantastic and delicious. Our hosts were very friendly and informative about the area and even offered us a lift as we were attending a wedding. Only 10 mins walk to town. One of the best B&B s we have ever stayed in. Highly recommended.

Set in delightful, classic gardens, you can see only fields from West Acre's bottom boundary. Yet walk from the gates and you are soon into Alnwick with its numerous eateries and shops. West Acre breakfasts are enough to keep you going all day. Rooms comfy and well supplied. Art deco decor throughout. Jeanette and Bruce first class hosts. Couldn't ask for more.
